A drawing course that enables you to discover the amazing riches of the capital’s minor collections, intimate in scale but equal in quality to the major museums. This course will introduce the history of the collection, its particular strengths, and the chance to draw directly from individual paintings and other artifacts. Studying art works at fi rst hand is an invaluable means of discovering great artists’ use of subject matter, composition, handling of medium, and sensibility whilst making your own response. We will visit collections including; Apsley House, Dulwich Picture Gallery, Sir John Soanes Museum, Courthauld Institute, Kenwood House and The National Portrait Gallery.
